Can anyone help me please. I need to change the battery but do I need to remove the bar across the top first? Seems to be some kind of anti-roll bar from one side of the car to the other that goes right over the top of the battery and stops me from simply lifting it out.
Thanks

A few cars have these 'bars' fitted that give strength to the car. My skoda had one and you had to remove the bar, no problem though as long as you put it back and tigten it correctly.

Thanks both

You are right, Toureman - I did laugh reading it but not sure I could use it as much of a guide!

oldhenry - do you know if the bar has to be fitted at a specific "tightness" or just "tight" - might all be getting too technical for me.

I'll get Jonathon to have a look tomorrow in the day light to see if he can work out what to do.
