Making text easier to read
6 Answers
I've started doing surveys etc onlie, and my sight is getting gradualy worse - is there any way in which any I can change the colour of grey text into a black text, making it easier to read? I've upped the text size, which has helped a bit, but wonder if there is more I can do?

If using IE there is the option in the bottom right hand corner of the screen to increase the size of the text
I'm unsure as to whether or not you can change the colour of text
Sometimes, when text is very pale I have difficulty reading it so I just highlight the whole page and find that can help sometimes

For chrome, use this:

You'll need to go to settings >> Extensions >>> Options to set up the colour changes you want as it seems to just do a straight colour-swap. Easy to use though (just click the icon next to the favourites star to apply the palette you set up in options)

As I said, if you wanted to change that you can do in the options
Click the spanner
Click "options" from the drop down
Click "Extensions" on the left
Next to "Change Colors" should be a link saying "options"
Click that!
You should then be able to change all the colours, text sizes and fonts.
If you want to change the colours all over a website (not just on the page you're on) click the little logo next to the favourites star and select "Apply override on this domain".
All the best,
Ed

If you're seeing grey text, rather than black text, on most site you monitor needs adjusting! Make sure that you can clearly see all of the numbers, from 0 through to 10, on both of the numbered lines:
