I'm not going to highlight them but 3 times tonight I have seen questions where, in order to find the answer, a simple google would have sufficed instead of writing it out as a question.

Just makes me wonder whether some people should be allowed computers.

If you've only spotted 3 such questions, Postdog, you should probably visit Specsavers!

A bit of social interaction required maybe, but you rant away, why not.

Here our questions are answered by real people whereas Google is just a giant computer.

It is a bit like seeing a friendly cashier at Tesco's instead of a self-service checkout.

Anyone like to back me up on this one?
I must see 30 a day, but this is a question and answer site- clue's in the title;-)

How you doin anyway postdog?
Sometimes I cannot find the answer although I google it and it is then I go to Answerbank, where I know someone will be able to tell me what I want to know. I have not been disappointed yet.
Rantin, NOX
I bet I can name one, normally most people will ask something that they could have found on google, but sometimes its nice to get an array of answers and peoples opinions, but even the one tonight I wanted to say something....actually I did lol
Sometimes its better to receive an answer from someone direct, rather than google it, don't let it get to you postdog..x

Not been on all night Buenchico, and to me it's just laziness or ignorance of what can be done yourself - I remember one wanted a weight conversion and another wanted confirmation of legitimate words but didn't have a dictionary to hand. Well they did, only they didn't bother using it and let others look up for them.
so it's wrong to ask a question on a question and answer site but it's OK to rant ?
I agree with Postdog up to a point. I have always found that if I put in the effort to find out something for myself I remember it more clearly.

Nox I'm scheduled for another op the Monday the week after next. It's a proper job this time, in through the skull, so apparently I'll be kept under sedation for 3 days after it. Things said before make me wonder if it will do any good, but on the other hand, I don't suppose they'd try unless they thought there was a chance, and at least this time they have more info than they did for the first one.

Vulcan there are questions and questions. Most are quite legitimate to ask because they are seeking informed opinion but some are not.
I think you're doing the right thing postie, when I had surgery on my noddle it was the best thing I ever did, I was really not functioning properly and although it was somewhat distressing and a long haul I've been miles better since. Hope everything goes well for you mate.
