Watching Your Record Dreams
I read in a magazine recently that scientists reckon that soon we could use computers to "see" what we have dreamed about and possibly even record dreams to watch the next day. Is that true, and what do you think about that?
Thanks, Kieran.

There is some work being done with fMRI machines (functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging) scanners, where they have been getting volunteers to think about certain items whilst being scanned using an fMRI - shows blood flow and active areas of the brain. From this, they can build up a library of certain items and the fMRI pattern.
Other researchers have focused the scanning on the visual cortex of volunteers, measuring blood flow and the patterns created whilst the volunteers are watching movie trailers.
