I daresay recovery time varies from person to person according to how severe the side effects were and how you feel on a day to day basis now. For me, as I recall, it was a long time ago, taste returned relatively quickly (which was just as well as I needed to gain weight) although bland food remained a bit yukky for quite a while. I don't want to be negative but I don't think my feet ever fully recovered but my regime was harsh and treatments aren't generally so severe nowadays. It will take some time so try not to get too exasperated. Try massaging your lower legs, feet and hands, wear comfortable supportive shoes with soft insoles and don't get cold. When the feeling returns there's sometimes a 'hot aches' sensation.
Well done on getting through it, good luck with your recovery, and look forward to some better days and a healthy future.

Thank you for taking time to reply it is my husband who had the chemo and I know he felt as soon as chemo finished he would feel better but I know it is a bit of time before this happens.Glad it`s over now though. I had breast cancer and feel fit as a fiddle so I keep telling him to be patient pity we can`t wave a magic wand and cure everything is`nt it. Thanks again
