Hi I have got a very big money plant situated in my conservatory, my question is it has started to flower I have had it for at least 15 years and it is the first time I and many of my friends and family have ever seen a flowering one, is it normal don't get me wrong I am not complaining but I would like to know how rare this is thankyou all xx

Yeah it's fairly normal for older larger specimens to flower....i used to look after a large collection of cacti and succulents and i had a money tree (Crassula argentia) that was 4 feet high and absolutely loaded in clusters of white flowers every year.

Up the Hammers !!!

My mummy one is about 15 years old and it has produced many babies some of which I still have. They all flower but that could be due to the rather haphazard 'care' they get.

Mine too, it is about 15 as well, it got two or three flowers on it last year, but at the moment it is covered in clusters of white flowers, like tiny stars, looks lovely. It is definately pot bound, I doubt if I could prise it out to repot it anyway so pleased to hear that it prefers it - rosy

Mine flowered only oncewhen it was in a smaller pot, much to my surprise. I have had it for about 20 years now. I repotted it a couple of years ago and it has loved being repotted, but no flowers. It spends the summer out in the garden. Unfortunately it is getting a bit too big for the conservatory. It has lots of babies which have been distributed to friends and relations over the years.
