If you mean more like the Vera Lengsfeld case then yes fair enough, but it's nothing new, the Brits have always sent folk in under cover, and never been very good at it...seems this lot are no exception, just an occupational hazard of bieng at loggerheads with the powers that be.

Sounds like the police officers overstepped their welcome, if they were forbidden from sexual relationships but still did it.

What is under discussion here, the fact that the police had sex and fathered children with these women, or the methods used to infiltrate into the activists community?

If it is the latter the police will use numerous dubious methods to obtain certain information.

The placing of audio and video equipment in a person's private accommodation so as to obtain incriminating evidence, as in the Stephen Lawrence case, is a prime example

Never mind, even if any of it IS true, at least they're Brits and not some scummy illegal immigrants snaffling loads of dosh at taxpayers' expense, eh?
