Tracing Hospital death
2 Answers
I am trying to find details of the death of a James Carney who according to an Australian newspaper report dated 11 January 1942 died recently in a London Hospital aged nearly 84years.
I wonder if It is possible to find out which Hospital it was and if they had details of his next of kin
His boxing records show he was born 1856 (some 1858) and died
Sept 11 1941
Previous records for a James Carney I have show death in Isleworth
9 Nov 1941 aged 80
This latest one seems more likely to be the real James I am looking for.
If anyone can help I would be very grateful

Thank you for your reply The James you have found is the same James from Isleworth. I have his DC and his trade was a fancy goods salesman. The James I am seeking was a bare Knuckle fighter (English champion) who fought in the USA. He earned quite a lot of money but was a big gambler. He did not have a very good education but he knew how to handle money At thy end of his career he became a bodyguard to George Alexander Baird and Edward V11.I am sure in mind now that the Islewoth James can't be him.
Thanks once again for interest and help.
