My perception of the phrase 'builders' when referring to tea is forever coloured by an instant memory of an Eastenders episode where the ever more laughable Phil Mitchell was offered such a cup on meeting his last-but-one prospective mother-in-law. As usual, the Angry Testicle performed his very best Hoarse Whisperer response and a cup of tea was provided.
I don't watch EE unless i am being sociable with family members, so it annoys me that this farcical character's dialogue has stuck in my mind in this way.
