Thanks gen 2 but search as I did I can find no reference to mrs gaskell and a novel called YEAST ?

Charles Kingsley wrote a novel called Yeast.
There is no book by Elizabeth Gaskell with that title.
Perhaps an error on the part of the compiler ?

Thanks shaneystar, I think your right, as far I remember Charles Kingsley was a contemporary of Mrs G. and wrote on same sort of Victorian themes?

He was indeed ...wrote a lot about social reform and so on.I think Yeast was about the conditions in the sweatshops in the clothing industry.Mrs.G concentrated more on women's roles in the society of the time.
