be given a chance to gain employment?
I ask because I have criminal convictions (including time spent in prison) but my last conviction was over 10 years ago and all my convictions are now 'spent' (allegedly). However, the majority of jobs now require crb checks and even though my convictions are now spent they still show up on crb checks and employers are obviously reluctant to employ ex cons. I dont think that the world owes me a living, I just want the chance to make one and to get of benefits. I know that this question should probably be put in law but chaterbank seems more lively ;-)
Hi nailit, don't have any advice (or a job for you) but just wanted to say I really admire your attitude. Instead of bleating about your situation you seem to have a really positive attitude (which can't be easy after 10 years of trying), hope something turns up for you soon (& really hope this doesn't sound patronising in any way).
nailit, I don't have any advice for you but I just wanted to say keep positive and something will come up. You have a great attitude, something which employers like me look for in a dedicated employee. (do you fancy working in a ladies fashion shop??;) )Good luck to you, and I hope someone gives you a chance. :)
vod, Im also very good with bra's....lol.
Have to go to bed now anyway so anymore innuendos will have to wait. Thanks again for all replys folks, much appriciated.
