Apparently she had a hard time giving birth, lost a lot of blood. Let's hope she's OK. And here goes Mrs grumpy again - but why does she have to hog the limelight, wear those ridiculous shoes etc. Why can't she just stay at home for a couple of weeks before the birth, put her feet up and look after her other gorgeous daughter? What is it with these celebs ? I suppose the next thing is, when she is better (fingers crossed) she will be on the front page of OK magazine earning a few more bob. Sorry to be so grumpy, she is still very ill, but I have to say what I feel.

Makes me feel a lot better being blonde craft. No way will I give up on my blonde - it's my one luxury having my hair coloured professionally.
Is it the Mallen Streak Lottie? :)
No, unfortunately, just a getting old streak!! Blends well with Ash Blonde though!!! ;o)
She should have put her feet up in bed weeks ago knowing her history of being pregnant, but that's show biz I suppose to these Celebs!!!!!!!
trt....it's nonsense advice. Being at home and resting does not change what's going to happen.

There's this big myth around what pregnant women can and cannot do. They can carry on as normal...they can lift heavy things...they can stretch as far as they need to stretch...they can be busy....they can wear high heals!!!!

If something is going to go wrong...the chances are it'll go wrong either way.

Sometimes...that's just the way it is.
ummmm,
you are wrong, why wife had two miscarriages and on her third pregnancy she was told to rest up when she was 7 months!!!!!!

She had a girl!
Actually, you are both right because it depends on the situation. Some people do have to rest up if they have a history of miscarriage or other pregnancy problems. But to be honest, I am sure Amanda would have done this if her consultant had told her to do so. We don't know what her problems were.
Your apologies accepted Lofty!

Every pregnancy is different, even for Celebs!

I'd like to know how on earth you know she was told to rest up at 7 months trt?
Do you read the Daily Mail? Or is it the Sun for your information?

Jesus the poor woman has been through what a lot of other women wouldn't cope with then she very nearly dies so what's the best thing to do? Oh yes, slate her on a public forum.
How very lovely of you saying she shouldn't be doing this and should have been doing that
She could have been this ill if she had been on bed rest for 9 months
She could have .....
She was pregnant, not ill. It would have mattered not a jot if she was jogging all through her pregnancy or sitting on a chaise lounge, this still could have happened

There but for the grace of God .........
Nice to accept my apologies - I didn't apologise to you I just said that both you or ummmm could be right about pregnant women having to rest, but it depended on circumstances.

But thanks anyway
I thought it was the birth which presented the problems rather than the pregnancy?

In which case it would have still happened even if she had never left her bed from the moment of conception..........?
Rest is just in case. In reality you'll never know if it's the rest that prevented a miscarriage...or if the pregnancy was going to be successful anyway.

I've also had miscarriages trt. I've also had 3 successful pregnancies where I didn't rest.
Another thing....what everyday Mother can rest when they have a young child at home? I bet Amanda got more rest than most pregnant Mothers in her situation.
Wearing skyscraper heels when pregnant - not a problem I did ! In fact if you always wear them you are more likley to trip in flat shoes ,my daughter says I walk like a duck in trainers and I constantly trip. I bet she was uber carefull with this pregnancy , as said earlier it sounds like a birthing problem . Poor lady I hope her and the little one get well soon.
I will look forward to seeing pics of them in ok mag etc.
Bed rest is usually only advised when the mother has an incompetent cervix and pressure needs to be taken off it, with bleeding during pregnancy or with serious pre-eclampsia. I had to have complete rest with my first pregnancy because of pre-eclampsia, I was admitted to hospital and wasn't even allowed to go to the bathroom from my bed without being wheeled there.
If Amanda Holden's pregnancy was progressing normally there was no reason whatsoever that she should have been resting.
Apart from the heels, you should just carry on as normal when pregnant.
It may be because, for the most part, they're vacuous, self centred ***. Just an opinion mind.
The asterisks denote something approaching bottom holes. :)
You don't 'have' to say what you feel, you weren't asked, you chose to put this about and I rather wish you hadn't.
