Do all 1.25 Zetec Fiestas have a 16V Zetec-S engine?

if i remember rightly the zetec-s is a 1.6 16v

That's what i thought, but i have a 1.25 16V Zetec-S engine!

it's maybe a new generation of zetec engine then when ford change things they tend to just put a letter after the original name i worked on endura diesels for 6 yrs then they suddenly changed to a endura e and all that changed was they put an EGR valve on it

Yes, the 1.25 engine is classed as a 'Zetec'.

It is actually a design bought from / designed with Yamaha (yes, the motor bike company) and is considered to be a much better engine than the 1300cc Fiesta of the same period - far better economy, better reliability and performance nearly as good as the 1400cc engine!
