LFC was mentioned because they've been involved in one or two high profile incidents of late (you may have noticed) whilst Everton FC haven't, which is why as a result of the Liverpool v Everton match last year LFC have their name linked to another incident, that's all.
Hence the question in the title.

I was right redman, persecution complex. Apologies for keeping abreast of the (breaking) news.
Other end of the M62? How very dare you! The team I used to follow several years ago doesn't even play in Premiership and is well south of Birmingham so you can dispense with the idea that I support Man Ure or the real Mancs.

to be fair though Philtaz (bet you didn't think you'd see me here! ha!) it's not really bad news surrounding LFC is it? In fact it's not even anything to do with LFC, it's a few people that may be fans of either Liverpool or Everton in a fight and, being the football fan you are, I'm sure you'll appreciate it's not exactly out of the norm.
It does, however, reflect very badly on Merseyside police.

Breaking news? No. I heard about it on the day of the game. In fact it was announced at the ground at that game that Anfield Road was closed by this pub as there was an 'incident'. I only had to read the Liverpool Echo afterwards to find out more about it. So I'm assuming that Evertonians knew about it at the time aswell.
