Opinions from (older) brunettes please
I'm a middle aged brunette, lucky enough to have only a few grey hairs behind the ears. My colour is so rich that I've never needed or wanted to dye it, just had a few highlights here and there for an occasional change.
Now the grey is a little more widespread and I can't decide whether to grow old and grey gracefully or to start dying my hair to cover it.
Do older brunettes with hair dyed to their original colour look younger than their years or does it look unatural?
Which do you do?

I dont have one Maidup. Its luck of the genes I suppose. Both my parents kept their colour until a good age. I used to really want to get acquainted with the hair dye shelves in the chemist shop but not needed to yet. The annoying thing is that over the years I have had comments occasionally that I must be dyeing my hair! However, I will add one thing and that is I always eat well and take vitamins. My mum once gave her father some gevral capsules (a vitamin) and I am going back many years, and a side effect was that his white hair started to have colour again!
When you said you would take a vitamin supplement Maidup, I did a bit of googling to see if there is anything online about this.
Found that there is something in this and this website names the vitamins to keep away the greyl

So unwittingly my mum was on to something all those years ago!

Seems like Zinc is a good place to start
"Zinc has also been shown to stop hair turning grey. One doctor taking zinc for a year reversed the grey hairs which returned to their original colour.
Zinc can be depleted by high stress levels. For a good source of zinc, wheat germ is the best, other sources are brewer's yeast, pumpkin seeds, oysters and mussels, shrimps and egg yolks."

Hmmm what is middle age? Not sure if I qualify yet lol
I've been harvesting grey hair for many years, since I was 17/18
I am a natural brunette and have always dyed my hair in varying colours form blonde to almost black
At my age now I use mid brown colours and I assure you it looks fine
If you've never done a full head go for the colour nearest your own
All brunette colourants have red tones though so be aware of that

i had brown hair with a definete increase of grey. (57 btw). due to trying to get my hair more squeaky clean,i reverted to using timotei with henna.i realised within a month, that not only was my hair cleaner, but a lot of the grey was less noticable, not gone, just muted to quite a degree! dont use it too much, but,if you have a lot of brown still of your own,it certainly is an option.
