It was driving me mad too. Then a friend told me it was from "The Nightmare Before Christmas". I haven't been able to confirm this but it seems reasonable.

Yes, it's from the Soundtrack to the Nightmare Before Christmas. It's an orchestral version of "What's This".

The orchestral arrangement is featured briefly in the overture and again in the final untitled hidden track on the CD.
