Andy Hughes, joined 2001.
I've only been on Five and a half years,I'm sure that's not long enough.

I've been on here for 6 years!! Only properly since about 2010 though... I used to be too scared to contribute! ;)

Thanks pdust - too blooming right I was!
Andy has been here continuously from the start and - as far as I know - I am the next-longest serving contributor still regularly participating.
Andy, for reasons I cannot now recall, had a name-problem and simply ended up by altering the original one slightly. I'm sure he'll be along soon to offer the full explanation.
andy and qm were on ab when the cost to the tax payer of building the ark was at the highest level of debate.
I'm new, I only joined in 2008
Quite, Ankou, and - still on the biblical theme - we might claim to have been here when Pontius was a pilot.

I cant say it has been continuous though.
"Get some in!" That used to be the cry in military circles, Ratter, when someone with less time served than oneself made a point about THEIR length of time in uniform
As QM advises, I had a brief gap when the gremlins messed up my original account, so i re-joined with a slightly altered name.

I am the elder statesman of the site, and very proud of it indeed.

I joined actually before the site was on-line, signed up as a writer to contribute the weekly featurews that were part of the original AB before it became a stand-alone Q & A site.

I enjoyed paid employment as a Channel Producer - love that term - but when that ceased, I stayed on and have been here every day since, excepting hoilidays and illness.

Many many peole have come and gone, but QM and I carry on and one of us will switch the lights off when the last day comes - hopefully not for a very very long time.
