Some of us have lease cars at work - you need to do a certain amount of mileage p.a. (3500 for us) and there are tax implications as it's treated as a benefit in kind.
Do you for personnel use (use by staff?) or personal use?
I know someone who always leases cars and swears by it, but I've never been persuaded- I'm sure someone is makinga profit out of it

its just for me,i do 12000 miles a year
I looked into it a few years ago but it worked out mighty expensive when you factor in the fact that at the end of all the payments the car still isn't yours, and you are penalised for excess mileage, stone chips and any damage done inside by your kids or dogs. I hit a lot of stones and transport kids and dogs so it wasn't my cup of tea. Instead I buy nearly new so I get a bit of warranty but some other mug has taken the lion's share of depreciation, and I generally keep the car 10 years or until the wheels drop off it. As I do 50k per year, usually the latter comes first. I have my eye on a Volvo V60 next, the wheels are getting wobbly on my Vectra so let's see if the Volvos are really as strong as legend has it. And I like big estate cars too.
