Damn the snow no papers delivered and I live too far from shops to walk - so no crossword for me today. All those who did get papers enjoy. It really upsets my routine I am reduced to doing the ironing!,
We have missed the worst of the snow here in Swansea, although the Brecon Beacons and the tops of the Valleys have been hit.
You can access the Observer "Everyman" crossowrd for free on the 'net, and also yesterdays Guardian. But I would be careful with the latter...hardest yet !
Hey all thanks for your comments very heartwarming! I am on a farm in rural Suffolk 6 inches + show could be here a while glad I have plenty of logs for the open fire and am good at making soup! Ironing done now rapping fingers waiting for the next big idea!
freaks me out, too, mooseknows, when we can't get the papers. Feel as though my day isn't complete, somehow. We walked up to our newsagent this morning. What a shame you live too far to walk, too. Feel incomplete if I don't do my usual Saturday, Sunday, Mon and Tuesday x-words. Possibly over-excessive about it - but it keeps my brain working! Commiserations. Chox.
Our paper deliveries at the hospital wont be coming today either. The people who sell them do come from a rural shop and are usually here no matter what, so it must be worse out there than here. They are always so cheerful too and make my day sometimes, so I think they deserve a day off. Ive still got Telegraph from Sat to do. It takes me and OH most of the week to do anyway
Only the Sunday Telegraph and Times delivered here today on the southeast coast. Since I don't buy Murdoch's rags, on principle, that leaves the Tele. Which I have just finished. Now, back to the novel I was reading in front of the fire last night ...
No papers in Village at all today, and certainly not going to get the car out to go and get one, so will have to put up with the withdrawal symptoms and have a beer instead. (Dover area)
