My nan told me that when she got married she had an 18" waist without corsets.
Although this lady is an extreme case I think body shapes have changed tremendously over the last 50 years. When I left school I had a 23" waist and wasn't considered thin.

Karen, that's almost skeletal and unnatural, in my opinion the corset exaggerates that and will only appeal to a niche group of sick weirdo's that promote anorexia.

Oh I agree, she is far too thin - but that bizarre shape is the corset. Without it she's not that much different to many size zero celebs - who are also way too thin and promoting a poor body image.
