Name of a Christmas Film

My wife is frantically trying to find out the name of a Christmas Film so that she can get the DVD / Video to show our daughter. She think she last saw it on television about 12 years ago.

The film centres around various (seven ?) people each hiring out a Father Christmas outfit, and follow the background story behind each individual and the reasons why they hired out the outfit.

Any help would be really appreciated.

the film is called "man in the santa claus suit", starring fred astaire http://www.bestcareanywhere.net/garyburghoff/Santa.htm it proved somewhat difficult to buy, but my wife found a used copy on Amazon this time last year.
