This will make it easier for you to recognise messages/inspiration that they give out. One of these will click with you and then you can go ahead to pursue that. It could be in the form of a specific recreational activity, travelling to a particular country, meeting with a certain someone.
The key is to be open and susceptible as to what the forces of nature are telling you.
I know exactly how you feel...but I have just had a long term relationship end so maybe I have a more obvious source of blame for my feelings.....Perhaps you have to identify exactly what aspect is missing from your life...excitment or stability..are you looking for kids....or more globetrotting thrills? Than again maybe theres nothing wrong at all I know people who will say to you that we are pretty greedy animals and we are never happy with what we have got and we are always looking for something else. Have a long hard think about what you really would like/want from life and then remember that whatever the outcome you could be a heck of a lot worse off than you are at the minute.
crispy is rightabout it being a human condition, we all get it. Theres a book called 'the art of happiness' written in conjunction with the dalai llama that can give you some ideas on getting a bit of the gap filled without shoving religion down your throat. I get i tooand i think it's what has made humans progress so fast, never being quite happy with our lot makes us strive for more all the time. I don't think we naturally know how to sustain happiness, but i think it helps to know that we all get the same feeling and that the gap can't be filled with anything material, its a question of attitude. Ther's nothing wrong with you at all, you're a very normal intelligent human being.
Something new: a new experience, a new toy, a new friend...it doesn't matter what. Draw, take up sign language, rearrange your furniture, buy different kinds of food, help someone out, go for a long walk in a strange place, give as much as you can to charities, have a wild weekend, move house...
OK, they were just examples, but just doing something new, something your mind hasn't expereinced before, is usually enough for most of us. I would suggest making a list right now, setting a few dates and see if you can keep them!

Sorry to hear you got negative finances E. that is a problem i guess, as for love; it is a perceived ideal rather than the norm; some would call it a chemical imbalance hazardous to health too. Anyway, hellfire, E. i didn't mean to appear glib; here's wishing that your transits soon change for the better. Roxy, I think you are correct about the missing thing, is it a craving for the womb, maternal comfort or your soulmate? Focus.. Because we got it relatively easy in society, we get bored etc. lack of real stress; They say 'a dog out hunting doesn't notice it's fleas' I suggest that if you had an immediate ongoing crisis, you wouldn't have time to think of what's missing.. but we don't want to give you that. Dirty tricks from the cosmic joker; being born into an unfair world with only half a soul, and knowing you must die.. so mostly we try to hide it by keeping busy.. what yous need is occupation, itinerary and less time to think. :-)
I'm missing a Record deal! Which may sound faceatious, but I'm a musician and I always find that when I lose sight of what really makes me happy in life, I feel exactly as you described. I then have to sit back and take stock of what my priorities in life are. Try concentrating on the things that make you truly happy, this may sound obvious, but I believe many people don't actually know!
