Does anybody please know if it's possible to get Council Tax Benefit if not working, not receiving Job Seeker's Allowance, but with some savings (less than £10,000)? Thanks

Many thanks for the responses. The link from Cheekychops took me to the 'benefits adviser' page which, after I'd inputted my details, worked out that it is possible to get benefit in my circumstances: single, not working, not claiming JSA. Thanks, all.
I've been in that position and was told I could not claim benefit UNLESS I was in reciept of some other benefit. I had to apply for ESA or JSA first.
Also I think you shouldn't have mre than £6000 in savings
The savings figure is sixteen grand
No smart. The cut off point is 16k. If you have over 6k you lose X amount per £500 you have in savings.
