It's all been done up and is very intimate now, candles on the tables, open fire, etc (not the best place to take five kids!). Bit on the pricey side (compared to the sort of places we normally go to) but the food was some of the nicest I have had.

Benny, my advice would be to go out somewhere either this coming Saturday or the Friday / Saturday after. Your money will go much further, you won't be in a very busy restaurant where the service is likely to be below their normal standard and it will therefore be more personal to the both of you. This is what me and mrs Zacs always used to do and we celebrate 24 years married this May! Good luck.
It is completely different on the inside now - they have moved the bar and closed bits off to make it more cosy (100% improvement). It is not really our sort of place now as it is not so family-orientated (though it has acres of outside space for visiting in the summer), it is very much a couples/grown-ups place now (and the food was gorgeous - well worth the money as a treat).
