practically most ads contain the sterotype that men are useless/cant clean/cant work out how to bleach the loo/cant cook/ are generally stupid

grrrr it really annoys me

the advert for nuts magazine. the tag line is "women, dont expect help on a tuesday" as this is the day it comes out!
There is one on at present, an ad for a washing powder (can't remember which one) which has as its catch phrase "pure and clean". This is repeated over and over. At the same time the images show a platinum blonde child with very white skin and a platinum blonde woman with very white skin wrapping themselves in white sheets hanging on a washing line - implying of course that anyone who doen't have platinum blonde hair and very white skin is not pure and clean ie is dirty.
Breakfast cereals - kids who eat "healthy" breakfasts do well at school and are able to do their homework all by themselves.........
