'SWEET TRASH' FROM THE NORTH EAST

Hiya all....Does anyone from the Newcastle Upon Tyne/Durham/Sunderland areas remember an 80's band called 'Sweet Trash' ?? I've got two cassettes by them,one blue label one red label...They were great but got little exposure beyond the North....I'm sure they changed their name,maybe to 'The Shotgun Brides' ?? Any info gratefully received.Thank you.

Kev Wilkinson was the singer who went on to The Shotgun Brides with Tony O'Brien and Drew the bassist. Kev and Tony went on to form Drill with Davy Craig and Drew played bass at initial gigs until a full time member Si Moore joined.

Yes, they later became Shotgun Brides.
A band who were destined for great things, but sadly it didn't happen.
