are your ears blocked, so sound is echoing in your head?
is it louder when you are lying down?
I get that sometimes, I think it is linked to my tinnitus
Start worrying when the beat stops..!

No the beat dosn`t sound any worse when im lying down, and my ears are fine, there is high cholsteol in my family, both parents have it very high, i know my mums at the moment is ldl 7.2, not sure about dads tho, is this anything to do with what i may have, should i get it checked?
It has a name... Pulsatile tinnitus. The causes can run the gamit of simple to complex. Firstly, just do a quick was of your ears with warm water in a baby syringe. Wash them 3, maybe 4 times each side, since the sound can be brought on by impacted wax. Then consider if you've been experiencing any sinnus infection. The veins and arteries going to the brain are routed fairly closely to the ears and if any sinnusitis is present the swelling accompanying that places pressure on them and cause a noticeable sound in one's ears. This same sound can be produced by allergies as well.
Failing relief from the above, it'd be a good idea to have condition checked by a doctor as has already been suggested...
