Well, Smoke has a new hobby. It involves spending hours sitting in the empty bath tub. He likes to slide down the back of the bath & then just lie there with the odd stroll over to the sink for 5 minutes. I swear he gets more eccentric by the day :)

Cats are odd ! Not like dogs. One of my dogs sits in the hearth, and by 'hearth' I mean in the chimney, on top of the cold cinders. A slight improvement on one of the wolfhounds, who is in the habit of taking live, hot, smoking, coals from the fire and trotting around the house with them, in a fair impression of The Hound of the Baskervilles. Not odd at all.

Since we changed to a flat screen television a few months ago our cat watches it almost 100% of the time. She has changed into a couch potato cat. She doesn't even want to go out any more. She watches everything from cartoons to the news and serious documentaries. We think we might enter her for 'Cat Mastermind'.

Yep that's him in his pole dancing phase. He's body surfing across the sitting room carpet head first in a carrier bag at the moment.

It comes to something when you find yourself switching the television on for the cat!!! ;o)

One of my cats used to pee down the plughole - which is fine, as long as it's only pee :-(

Pee down the plug hole. My god, that takes some precision!
If you want to amuse him, try leaving the tap dripping occasionally.
Question Author
Oh yes - he likes a dripping tap but that's an optional extra at the mo. It's the bath he's fixated on, the tap he can take or leave.
This is what one of our cats in past years used to use as a loo (for both poos and pees, if he was taken short!!

Bit difficult perching on the top!!!
You're having a laugh!

Lottie - I think you win the most eccentric cat award. Congratulations
The cat was called Cecil. Fortunately, for the most part he used to relieve himself outside, but when nature called and he was shut in or couldn't wait it was the coal scuttle!!
He was an absolute nutcase of a cat. He used to hiss and spit and spiders on the ceiling, and would often take you by surprise by leaping from the floor onto your shoulders. Dear old "Thoppy Thecil"
