My mum made a chilli last week that we all ate and enjoyed... she told us after is was made with quorn mince. I really did not know, and it it tasted lovely.
I think that is the thing if folk really don't know they very rarely seem able to tell I have dished up loads of veggie stuff in the past Redman however would miss his lumps of dead animal I swear he can't pass a field without seeing the occupants on a plate with potatoes
I was recently invited to a friends for lunch and her daughter made lasagna which we all enjoyed and said it was really lovely. then my friend told us she made it with quorn, well you would never have known. I think if it is made with a string suce it would be ok
I actually like Quorn, but having said that I rarely use it.
If you want to make even the leanest mince healthier, here's a tip I got from Rosemary Conley. Dry fry the mince to brown it as you usually do, then rinse it in hot water, strain it, and continue with your recipe.

Trish tried it once in a spag bol. I'm not saying it was rough but it's about the only thing Max has been know to refuse.
I think if you follow a healthy diet there is nothing wrong with the fat content in lean mince, probably a lot less than treats and snacks that you would consume weekly.
just give it a try..you have nothing to lose.

I use it and i like it. As someone said make sure you cook it correctly.

i know numerous meat eaters who couldnt tell the difference.

if you want more of a flavour, buy the beef style flavoured fillets and mince yourself.
