I have a large print of a well-known sportsman, who signed the print to my parents on their wedding anniversary - does this make any difference to the value of the print?

Probably - people who collect signed photos would be interested, particularly if it's a famous person. Signed shirts and sports equipment are always collectible.
Yes, certainly. You may have to get it authenticated however as this is a very ripe area for forgeries. I don't know how authentication works, but maybe another ABer will be better informed.
signing it will increase the value - but signing it "to Mildred" will decrease it again.

Yes, it is signed to Mr & Mrs xx - I was just interested to know, I hope that I don't have to think about selling it at present. Thank you for your answers and the link.
