I read that it is becoming more popular for grooms to change their name to that of the bride instead of the other way around, But I wonder if anyone actually knows of a couple who have done this ?

Never heard of that one.
No, only awful double-barrel surnames like "Badde-Choyce"
I don't know of any actual occurrences of this in UK. I do know that in Spain the rules have been relaxed to allow the woman's family name to come first in the children's name if that is desired.

yes I do know someone who did this. TBH I class it as being weak.
I know two couples who did it in the first instance she was a medical consultant and was going to continue practising under her single name they thought it would be less confusing and the second time She was from a family with no sons he had brothers to cary on his family name so he thought it would be a nice gesture

If only 2 Answerbankers in the UK actually know people that have done this it seems to me that it is not as popular as the article I read makes out

I've never even heard of anyone doing this.

I have heard that most brides are reluctant to break with tradition, as they think it is a terrible cheek after their fiance has asked them to marry them.
