Can anyone tell me the name of the French film talked about (with clips) on BBC2's Top Gear programme (Sun 1st Jun) which was basically the view from the grill of a car as it raced around Paris at dawn?

The film is called "Pour Un Rendez-vous", by director Claude Lelouch. He had nine or so minutes of film stock left after finishing a feature film and decided to make best use of it by driving at high speed through a Parisian dawn. As you do. It's him driving, filmed with little preparation, no authorisation and obviously is a b#@*$y stupid thing to have attempted! Traffic in Paris in 1976 was much lighter than it is now, especially at that early hour, but the other vehicles on the road had no idea what was happening. There was one blindspot for which he stationed a lookout - who failed to turn up! Luckily, he didn't drive sttraight in to a coach of schoolchildren. Lelouch describes being called in front of Paris' Chief Of Police who let him off because his kids loved the film. It's pretty irresponsible -- but it is*amazing* to watch!
