A chaffinch (male) has taken to perching on the horizontal bars of the windows of the house, sitting there and chirping. Its almost as if he's asking to come in - he's not looking for insects. Several windows - all on the north face of the property.
Is this behaviour common?

Is he seeing his reflection, thinking it's another Chaffinch?
Do you need saving from anything?
Are you sure it's not a small Owl?

It may be looking at the reflection, but he doesn't peck at it.
Er no, I know an owl when I see one.
http://www.theanswerb.../Question1008563.html I had a similar problem last year.
Hi bm,
I'm guessing from the reaction you didn't catch the post on the life saving owl that appeared Friday evening and was pulled Sat/Sun?
