I know there are three main buses that run up Finchley Road but can't remember which one goes by Marylebone/Baker Street.

Any idea?

Get the tube... much much quicker

Finchley Road Station
Take the Route Bus 82 from Stop: FJ
towards Victoria
or Route Bus 113 from Stop: FJ
towards Marble Arch
or Route Bus 13 from Stop: FJ
towards Aldwych

So just look out for a red bus yeah?! ha.

I wanted to get the bus Rowan because my sisters house is a pretty long walk from the tube station in Finchley Rd (I'll be going from Marylebone to Finch. Rd) and I'm a bit too lazy to walk tonight. The bus stops pretty much outside her house. But from what you say, it looks like all three of them go that route anyway. :)
all of them go to baker street tube station slightly different routes I think but all take around 20 mins

Cool. So I can just jump on any, as long as I make sure it's going in the right direction. Made that mistake once before. This is the reason I usually drive, I'm hopeless on public transport.
my first answer gives what will be showing on the front of the bus to get where you want to go

I know, thank you.

I'm dumb enough that I' still be able to get it wrong.
london is so easy to get round its almost more fun trying to get lost
Question Author
Yeah, I wouldn't mind getting lost normally and having a wonder round but I know there will be wine and some decent grub awaiting my arrival. No diversions for me tonight! :)
