For picky things it has to be the little cheesy nibbles that come out at this time of year, the ones where its impossible to have one, but evcery time you go past you grab another handful - scrummy!!
This is a recipe an American friend gave me, she calls it 'Nuts and Bolts'. I make it every year for Christmas/New Year, and once people get over what it's made from they love it!
I cup pretzels
1 cup mini garlic baguettes
6 tablespoons margarine or butter*
2 tablespoons lea & perrins worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
3 cups shreddies
3 cups crispix
3 cups mini cheddars
1 tablesppon peanut butter
Heat oven to 250 degress (gas mark 1). Melt margarine and peanut butter in large roasting pan in oven. Stir in seasonings. Gradually stir in remaining ingredients until evenly coated. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container.
