For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.To Smouse - Why do you bother to visit this website, if all that you can do is moan, and ask no question ? You have not even got your facts right - the £7 payment requested is (so I was led to believe) a £5 compulsory donation and the remaining £2 only, for the actual quiz. I regret that you are unhappy with me asking for assistance with 2 clues, having solved the remaining 128 myself. And finally, what evidence do you have to make the statement that "people are put off from purchasing this quiz" ? My supposition is that being put off is when they realise how easy or difficult the quiz is.
Either way you word it it costs £7 and I think anyone paying that amount would like to think that they will send it in with blanks and support the charity and not worry if they win
Interesting that you have done the rest and not answered anyones query on some of the other questions especially the bridge one so you must not be a quizzer who is willing to share
and I didnt moan I just said couldnt you have asked for clues not answers

Let's put it another way. You've already bought the quiz, so the charity has already benefitted from your donation/entry fee. So, why do you need to get other people to fill in your gaps? Why can't you have a guess or leave a blank space? All you are doing is turning a brilliant quiz into a lottery and as smouse says putting others off from buying it now or in the future. Too many quizzes are spoilt/ruined in this way (Great Brain Quiz folded because people kept on asking for answers expressly against the wishes of the quizsetter).
Looks like he's only prepared to ask for answers on this quiz but not give any in return. But never mind. He thinks you've all benefitted by him asking the questions! Which of course is a really big help if you already knew the answers to those questions! But clearly he would never dream of being a critic. Oh no that's incorrect - see www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Quizzes-and-Puzzles/Q

Message for the above idiot. I criticised somebody (in the page to which you draw attention) and would do so again, if, as on that occasion, somebody asked for answers TWELVE weeks before the quiz closed. The two queries that I raised yesterday are in a quiz with a 1st March closing date.
I am grateful to you in one sense for inviting your cronies to that 18-months' old posting, where the AB Editor says if you don't want to learn the answers from AnswerBank, don't read (or Trawl !) the questions. I consider this matter closed now, and I shall add nothing to what has been said by both sides.

So it's OK to criticise people for some reasons but not others? And to call people idiots who happen to point out the inconsistencies in your attitude? And I now note you consider the matter closed. So you clearly think it's perfectly reasonable to ask for help on a quiz but are not prepared to give any answers in return. I just hope the helpful people who've answered your questions remember that when you come asking again.
