thanks for telling us.
Sounds dodgy to me - but I'm no expert.
Or if you actually meant to ask a question.

It means the car has been exported and the fact it's still showing as such on a HPI check means that it hasn't been officialy imported back into the UK yet.

I'd stay clear of it unless the seller can give a really good explanation of why it's showing as an exported vehicle.
tsk tsk - sarky chuffdickens :+)

yeah sarky wasnt what i was looking for....im looking into wether or not the is supposed to be in this country,hence...has it been officially imported back if so..why the hpi saying exported?
I did give you a proper answer :)

Exported will only show on a HPI check if the car has been exported and not imported again, as soon as it's officially imported the exported tag would disappear from the hpi check.
Question Author
is it upto the registered keeper to get it sorted or could i if i buy it?
I personally wouldn't touch it with somebody else's bargepole, let alone my own!

Walk away from it.

(that said, HPI checks have been known to have errors in them, you can check with the DVLA if you want, but if they come back saying it's exported too walk away and don't look back)
Simple explanation..owner moved to Europe with car, declared that it had been exported so as not to pay UK road tax, found it was too much hassle to register it in Europe so decided to flog it and could only sell it in the UK as it had a paper record there. I have a car in the same situation.
