Somethings eating away at my walls - help!

For some time I have noticed that there seems to be a problem with some of the woodwork in my house. In a couple of places it seems to have also been eating at the walls.

I live on the second and third floor of a city centre building so there should be no rodents visiting and eating through my walls. In some places large bits of wallpaper seems to have been stripped from the wall.

Has anybody else experienced this problem? What was your solution to the problem?

Thanks

Wolf

Is it more common in the rooms where your furry friends are?
I remember you saying you don't lock them in a room (quite right too x)
Methinks it is your furry felines. Delightful creatures :)

Funny you should mention the furry monsters - it just could be them. I just discovered a bit last night that I hadn't noticed before and was amazed at the amount of damage to the wall.

Luckily they tend to restrict where they attack the walls - and it is only when they are fed up destroying the old armchair. I am about to get my own back by turfing them off my/our/their bed so I can have a nap.

:-)
You let your cats destroy your home furnishings...........are you mad?
Have just re-read your title, at first I thought it said 'Something Eating Away at my Balls'.:-(
I wouldn't rule out rodents. IA third storyy wouldn't be any problem for them, although of course your cat should deter them from visting

penelope - one cat has been de-balled and the other (and myself) are girls. No balls!

I know that it is the moggies - but am unable to catch them in the act.

craft - they are really good (usually) in that they just attack the old armchair in the bedroom. For some reason they don't attack the livingroom furniture.

factor - maybe our Scottish mice are lazier than the ones down south. ;-)
Sounds like the cats are using the walls to sharpen their claws.
It would appear that me and penelope2 need to go to specsavers : ( lol
