Do you ever watch the shopping channels? I do now & then & I even bought a kitchen gadget once (& its still in use)
I've got a friend who's addicted to them and buy's lots of stuff. Clothes, curtains, bed linen, jewellery, she's buying her xmas pressies right now.
What did you buy?
Was it worth it?

I shop on line, always M&S stuff & if theres a prob I take it back to my local branch & they refund me or I swap it for something else.
I get all my food shopping on line at Tesco, same thing I take it back to local branch if theres a prob.
I also get stuff from 'Yours' excellant shop for 'L' or 'Extra L' with a local branch in town.

Shopping channels, I think, are to be avoided. My son-in-law's mother died recently and they had to clear out hundreds (I'm not exaggerating) of boxes containing rings, watches, necklaces etc. They took them to a jewellers who bought them from them, mostly as scrap metal, but the words he said when he bought them were "We get a lot of this, lonely old ladies sitting and watching the shopping channels and buying anything that takes their fancy." The jewellery was still in unopened boxes, never worn. I think this should be a salutary tale for anyone doing the same thing.
