Check out the weeekly publication Music Week - it's expensive, so see if your reference library will order it in for you regularly - your music library may have it delivered.

At the back are small ads for record compnay personel, sales staff and so on, so start applying. Good luck.

Oi andy! - Is there nothing you don't know!

Another idea might be to write off to as many places as you can find (get your Yellow Pages out!) to offer your services for work experience. I want to get into music journalism and on my first position got told some brilliant advice and that was the first thing I was told. It's an ideal way to make some contacts, get your foot in the door and gain some invaluable experience.

My brother has wanted to work in film since he was tiny - he did work experience placements in London, taking paid and unpaid holiday from his normal job until he got offered a job doing film PR. He's still doing it now and loves it.

Good luck x

Thank you for your kind words snapdarlich - yes there are millions of things I don't know - you can tell by the number of questions I don't answer on the AB!
You can actually go online and check out jobs on music week's web page. you'll also be able to pick up some ideas, or at least get some useful addresses
