My dad has backed up a music database on his PC running Win7 Home Premium. He is elderly and getting forgetful and has somehow lost the database.
He is trying to open the backup file but he is getting a message saying it is an MUC file and cannot be opened by any if his installed programmes.
I have searched for a solution but every site that says it will solve the problem is looking for cash. He cannot remember how or why he saved the backup in this format.
Can anyone help?

A quick google search seems to indicate that the muc file extension is used by collectorz Music Collection.
If he has this progarm installed, he could run the program and then open the file from within it.
