I've never spent a £2 coin - they all go in a plastic box that holds exactly £400. It is now full for the 4th time and I've got about £60 waiting to go in it when its empty.
I spend my £400's on something purely for me; sporting equipment or activities, whatever - just as long as its for ME!
Both I, and two of my daughters, save £2 coins in a large jar/tin - it is emptied perhaps once a year, and my daughter bought a new large tv with her money, and I had sufficient spending money for a week's holiday. Surprising how it all adds up.
I also collect copper, and silver coins, and they go into a jar, and every so often I have a sort out, and put into money bags and take into the bank, saving the notes I get in return. Every little helps.
