Well me late hubby and I ran a few businesses over the years, some more successful than others. Long hours for little reward sometimes and if things are slow your income dips, then there is all the bureaucracy and paperwork.

Still a good and enjoyable time in the main.

My son is his own boss .He's formed himself his own company and hasn't looked back since leaving the company that treated him like dirt .
They now kowtow to him because they need his skills .

No chance of me ever being my own boss :-) My son started his own business a few years ago. Didn't have a lot of work at first, so spent his days putting flyers through doors with a friend. It paid off as he had a lot of interest & now he's doing alright with sometimes too much work.

after years of flogging my guts out next to guys who spent their time on line yet got the same wages, I went self-employed - now I'm making more money and can still go on-line while I'm supposed to be working ;-)
