Actor's name is Antony Byrne. He played Vincent Spode in Emmerdale in 2009,
and he was in The Bill between 1997-2003 and the Tv series called 'Single
handed amongst many other programmes. Hope this cures your curiosity!

I know the feeling. I now record most of my programmes so that I can view the credits at leisure and then Google the actor concerned. I was watching an old Trial and Retribution last night from 8 years ago which had two familiar faces. The barrister I recognised immediately as Sgt Scott from Midsomer Murders (before he appeared in that role). The psychiatrist was really bugging me till I found out that it was Jim Carter, the butler Carson in Downton Abbey (I think it was the wig that threw me!).

In the Soaps (I know its not real) but the script writers or researchers
never seem to get it right what the police would actually say to a witness or somebody they think might be the guilty person.

They probably all live at the back of Eileen Grimshaw's. Her house has rubber walls, considering all the people she manages to accommodate in a 2 up - 2 down terraced house.

You just don't listen Mike......................at the moment in Eileen's house there's Eileen in one bedroom, the fireman and his wife in another, the gay couple sleep in the front room downstairs, and Jason has moved out as there is no room.
