has anybody had a phone call from the above selling broadband etc. have tried to get more info on the net, but the company is not on. could it be a scam as they wanted bank details?

Don't ever give bank details over the phone to a cold caller; I think they are all scams. A reputable firm would never ask for details like that over the phone.

Yes...just as hw4 says......avoid everything that asks for bank details like the plague!
