I never knew that
I meant "At Last the 1948 Show". Got a bit confused with "Not the Nine O'clock News", but it's all a long time ago!

Looking at that clip reminds me of the late, great Marty Feldman, who was not only a brilliant scriptwriter (Round The Horne etc) but also a comic performer in his own right. He had his own series at one point. The funniest sketch I have ever seen is the one where he turns up as a bishop in full regalia in the compartment of a railway carriage then proceeds to act as a wide boy. Sadly he died at a relatively early age - a great loss to the world of comedy.
