Gas Board Saga part 2

As I mentioned the other day, the gas board (sorry, Northern Gas Networks) have dug up the pavement at the bottom of my drive and my car is stuck on the drive. I was speaking to the foreman last night who told me they have finished the work and the next job is to fill in the holes....some time in the next fortnight. Argh! I was about to get shirty with him when he let slip he'd given advance warning to Mr O who hadn't bothered to tell me.
Suggestions for suitable punishment gratefully accepted.

Make him build you a ramp over the hole so you can get out.

He was away for the day yesterday (in his own car which he removed from the drive in god time, grrrr). I had to go shopping and I blagged the money from him for a taxi home. I'll just keep hitting him where it hurts...in the pocket

Tell the foreman to get you a road plate. This is a large sheet of metal that is placed over holes to enable cars to drive over. Any decent company would have ensured that one was available for just this eventuality.

My daughter got home from work and found she could not get on her drive. Rang the board up and they put a large metal sheet over it that same night.As they have 2 cars there was no room for 2 on the road and could not even leave 1 on road as it would have obstructed next doors driveway.

Just read it again did not realise you had been given notice that was more than my daughter got.
