Gave mine its second cut on Monday this week. I also was surprised at how much it had grown since last September. Even though the blade was set at its highest setting, I half-filled the wheelie bin on each occasion.

i came home last night to find my lovely neighbour had cut mine while i was out at work. He really is a gem!

he is fantastic Alba, does the garden takes in our bin, takes in parcels, a real treasure! We give him a wee sneaky bottle of whiskey every now and then as a thanks

We used to have lovely neighbours like that, but both are now dead. I really miss them. They were like my second parents, but we were great friends. Its hard to come by neighbours like that now. Good on yer MrsLeeG

My neighbour and I take each others bins in, I'll take in parcels for her if she's out. Her gardens are paved but has butckets and hanging baskets. She'll use our brown bin for her garden rubbish as she seldom has any. I did say to her to use it btw :-)

its quite funny on days either myself or MrG are off when the bin men come, its like a race to get outside to see who can do the bins first!

For a few seconds there, I read "Just Moved the Lawn"....and I haven't had any lunch time drink (and hardly ever do).

It needs cutting here but a little too wet - also the builders have nearly finished and some garden "restoration" needed using their JCB and mini-one, along with their rollers - anybody want to help fill potholes with their old lime mortar and fines?

My neighbour did ours last time it needed doing. Came home to a lovely cut lawn. I think he might have been embarrassed about how bad it was making his look. I'm just gona leave it now and hope it happens again. :)

One lawn last Sunday, the other is due tomorrow. Ho hum, winter break over.

go for the easy option, we did a few years back - no grass, just gravel, slabs and decking, lots of bamboo, pots of oleanders and so on - and the olivetree - nothing is demanding if we are going to have drought.
