if I were to advertise a car on ebay and put a reserve on it and it does'nt sell do I still pay anything or do I just pay an insertion fee to sell it, I'm just wondering whether to put the car on ebay or pay to advertise it on autotrader or something similar.
I'm not too sure but I do know that this weekend is free insertion.
I ran my last car into the ground and it was only fit for scrap/spares. The local scrapyard offered me £50. I stuck it on Ebay and it sold for £120
you dont pay a final fee if it doesnt sell. I had good result with selling a car on ebay except that my husband accepted offer of guy who came to see it while I was at work, but thats another story.
We have sold several cars on Ebay with good results..put your phone no in the ad and ask anyone with low feedback to contact you before bidding..this can weed out the timewasters.Make sure that the finish time is good i.e.Sat or Sun evening...not say Monday at 7am..good luck.
Here in the U.S. autos only appear in the 'Automotive' section, not the general eBay listings. Think about specifying cash only (don't take a check) and also specifying pick up at your house only. Some will want it delivered...
