Our main PC needs replacing. We have been looking at Dell optiplex 745. Thay have open office installed. My pc has excel and has lots of documents I would want to transfer. Will I be able to transfer them using an external drive?

the way I transfer things is to have a usb external hard drive ( about £50 from Maplins for a really big one) transfewr all my hard drive contents to that and then just dip into it on any other computer I choose to use, so yes, it's as easy as that.
